Born in Manchester England but raised in Dublin Ireland, James emigrated to Canada as a teen. James quickly integrated into the Toronto music scene finding work in the studio and on tour with such label acts as This Room, Ear Candy and Figgy Duff.
Over the years James established himself as the "go-to guy" in film and video editing, involved in such works as Transference (Director Radha Menon's debut), Life After (a New York Film Festival award winer) and on countless award winning commercials.
James' musical talents were not lost on the world of the visual arts. His acquired skills in that field have helped shape his lyric writing and talents as a storyteller. A multi instrument talent, James tracked all the bass, mandolin and banjitar before switching over to the microphone to sing the songs of love, loss and adventure that are contained on Hell Or Connaught.
